The abstract sculpture, which depicts an interlocked, tango-ing couple, has been showcased at the famed Royal Academy of London as recently as 2014. Setting the tone for the night’s over-the-top proceedings is celebrity DJ Duo Wooden Wisdom (Elijah Wood + Zach Cowie), featuring vinyl-only paradise garage sounds.
Although the Art Basel event is private, all of Miami will be able to experience the inaugural lighting of the $30 million CLIMATE RIBBON™, architecture firm Arquitectonica’s and designer Hugh Dutton’s 150,000 square-feet masterpiece of art and science inspired by the Caribbean, trade winds and breezes, and by flow and movement.”
